Brussels sprouts with turkey bacon

Ingredients

  • Brussels sprouts
  • Turkey Bacon
  •  ½ Onion
  • Lemon zest
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • S&P
  • Pinch of Chilli flakes
  • Knob of Butter

Method

  1. Start by boiling water and season with salt. When it boils add the sprouts.
  2. Chop the turkey bacon and get it into a pan with a little olive oil.
  3. Grate the onion and add to the turkey bacon.
  4. Grate the lemon to get the zest only.
  5. Strain the Brussels sprouts when fork tender.
  6. Add the garlic to the pan at the very end.
  7. Add the Brussels sprouts to the pan with some S&P.
  8. Add the chilli flakes to the pan.
  9. Add the butter to the pan.
  10. Add the lemon zest and toss once more.

Serving Suggestion

Serve alongside roasted chicken, beef or pork roast. Enjoy!
